The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) reported that a major car manufacturer in western Japan was infected with a computer virus in 2008.  A system controlling the production line operations was infected when additional computers were connected to a control-system network.  Approximately 50 computers were infected.  Handling capacity was redcued, but there was no production shut-down.
