Computer Glitch Causes Shutdown of Airport People Mover

A computer malfunction caused the shutdown of the Sacramento International Airport automated people mover.  The people mover that connects the airport’s Terminal B with the jet concourse building was closed for 2 hours.  Technicians shut down the people mover when system computers crashed.  Representatives from Bombadier Transportation, the manufacturer of the people mover will be investigating the cause of the failure.  Fliers were required to walk 6 minutes on an elevated outdoor ramp to and from their planes.
